Chris Powell’s Personal Strategies - Part 2 (1 of 5)

Chris Powell’s Personal Strategies         Part 2

Utilize the Rule of 6.....

One of the common problems people face with weight loss is the “plateau.” A fitness plateau refers to a point at which the workout routine that you have fails to show you results.

For example, you may follow the same diet and perform the same exercises week in and week out. You may lose 8lbs one week -10 lbs the next. Then one week you don’t lose any weight, or you might even gain a few pounds back. DON’T BE DISCOURAGED!

This is normal – this is called a fitness plateau, and it happens to everyone regardless of his or her level of experience. The mother of four who wants to lose 30 lbs before summer can hit a plateau just as easily as a professional athlete can.

But why do we hit these fitness plateaus?

Our bodies adapt to everything we expose them to – especially working out! If you repeat the same work out again and again, your body will adjust to it, and the results will eventually level off.

That is why Chris Powell is an advocate of the “Rule of 6.”

It actually takes about six exposures to a specific workout for your body to experience all of its benefits. To experience increased fitness and weight loss benefits you need to change things up after every six workouts.

Cycling through different workouts will challenge your body in ways that will increase your results and help you avoid the dreaded “plateau.” There is a variety of different workouts that Chris illustrates and explains on ReshapeTheNation.com.

Remember the “Rule of 6” and get the weight loss results that you are looking for!

Personal Strategies Series - Part 1

Fitness is a not just a choice – it’s a personal journey. When you make the decision to transform your life for the better, you’ll need to develop your own personal strategies to help you along.

Here are a how Chris Powell’s strategies can benefit you.

Make Fitness a Labor of Love!!!!

The most beneficial way to make fitness a part of your lifestyle is to find a fitness plan that you absolutely LOVE!

There are countless ways to work out and stay in shape. At the beginning, you’ll need to go through a process of trial and error to figure out which modality of fitness best suites you.

You may prefer running to swimming. You may get your cardio workout by playing a sport – perhaps tennis or basketball. Remember, the specific workout you choose will benefit you that much more if you actually enjoy it.

What if you find that you don’t really enjoy any of the traditional workouts? Watch TV!

A body in motion tends to stay in motion…and working out is nothing more than a series of motions. If you have a couch, a chair, or just a few feet of space in you living room, you can get an excellent workout while simply watching television.

Chris is a huge advocate of the stay at home workout. In fact, he encourages it. Chris Powell has a collection of easy to follow, in-home workout videos in his fitness program located on ReshapeTheNation.com. In these videos, he personally demonstrates how to perform each exercise from the comforts of home.

There again, you can try out different exercises that work out the same parts of your body and find the ones that you personally enjoy. Love what you are doing and you will successfully make fitness a part of your lifestyle!

Chris Powell the Daddy and the Family Man!!!!

When most Americans think of Chris Powell, they think health, exercise, and nutrition. They think of the man who has brought about miraculous transformations for ordinary people whose lives were affected by their weight. They think of the trainer who helps thousands of individuals learn to eat right and work out on ReshapeTheNation.com.

But on June 13th, another miracle took place in Chris Powell’s life. His son – William Cash Powell – was born.

Baby Cash weighed in at 7lbs 13oz and his proud, teary-eyed father lovingly joked, “The little guy can already bench 46lbs!”

Chris and his wife Heidi have since introduced baby Cash to his big sisters – Matix and Marley. “It’s beautiful – life can’t get any better,” says Chris.

Life & Style magazine has just released photos of Chris and his 6-week-old baby boy.
